Peter Brewer will be attending the 2023 Annual Technical Conference & Exhibition. This year’s ATCE will be held in San Antonio, Texas. The annual conference, sponsored by the Society of Petroleum Engineers, will take place October 16-18, 2023. Peter will also serve as a volunteer for the ATCE Startup Village.

Dr. Jeremy M. Stipkala spoke on intellectual property tools and strategies to entrepreneurial students in Prof. Sarah Castle’s New Venture Modeling/Impact X course at the College of Charleston on March 21, 2023. The course teaches students how to design and launch new products and services in the marketplace, while fostering social benefit and environmental sustainability.

Alex Gambino and Peter Brewer have published an article in the AIPF Bugle. The IP Law Bugle is published bi-monthly by the Association of Intellectual Property Firms. Dr. Stipkala, who litigates copyright and intellectual property matters, commented on the first case decided by the Copyright Claims Board, the range of damages a copyright defendant might face, and the costs.

Thrive IP® law clerk Alexander Gambino has passed the Patent Bar Examination. Alex is a third year law student at the University of Tennessee College of Law. He will become a patent agent in two months, once all administrative procedures of public review have passed.
